Listening to podcasts is a great way to get informed on a variety of topics. Here are a few that are worth checking out if you want to improve the way you do life.
Just about everywhere you look, someone has announced that they are starting up a new podcast. Some content creators use the platform to complement their blogs; others use it as a primary source for getting their voice out to the world as a way to entertain and educate.
Whether you are looking for a podcast to make you laugh, learn a different language or find out information on how to best invest your money, you are sure to find one to give you what you need.
I began listening to podcasts back in the day before they were trendy. I’m sure most if not all of us have heard of NPR. About twelve years ago, that was my go-to for learning about different topics, particularly music.
Since then, I have branched off to other podcasts. My subscription list is pretty diverse, but the one thing most of the podcasts I listen to have in common is, they provide awareness and insight on specific topics that interest me.
I believe that being well-rounded is beneficial, and gaining knowledge shouldn’t slow down as we get older. So since I consider myself a life-long learner, I may as well use my expensive smartphone to get smart.
Searching for that perfect podcast that delivers can be overwhelming. There’s a formula I use when deciding if I want to subscribe or not. Part of that formula is, the information I’m receiving has to reliable and relatable. I like to listen to authentic experiences from real people, because what good is the message if I can’t apply it to my life?
If you are looking for quality content and a few good podcasts with a healthy amount of episodes to enrich your life, here are a few I highly recommend.

I do like this podcast. Dr. Rutherford gives solid life advice on a variety of topics. Sometimes when I’m listening to her while driving to or from work, I feel as though she is talking directly to me about my issues. In fact, her podcast has convinced me to do something I’ve contemplated to years, which is to look for a therapist of my own. She also has a Facebook group if this is something that interests you.
Humor and Menopause
Sweaty & Pissed with Leanne Morgan and Karen Nickell
Karen is a nurse practitioner, and Leanne is a comedian, which is a perfect combination for the topics that are discussed in this podcast.
